Every year as the temperatures drop, more and more people whip out their fleece. There are many different types of fleece from sweatshirts to blankets . It comes in many different colors and isn’t all that expensive. In fact, you could have a different colored fleece hoodie for every outfit!!

I have three kids and they are constantly in fleece over the winter. They love how soft it is and it doesn’t make them itchy. Other fabrics may keep them warm but irritate their skin. This is usually figured out right before the bus comes. My kids decide they want to change , miss the bus and then I angrily drive them to school. Trust me. Just buy the fleece. It’s easier.

What I like about fleece the most is that it is thin. My kids hate wearing heavy coats and jackets to school. But I feel like a bad mom sending them to the bus stop when it’s 25 degrees without a coat. They are all agreeable to soft fleece hoodies or sweatshirts. It keeps them warm enough but isn’t bulky and doesn’t take up any space in their lockers.

Fleece is wonderful because it makes a very soft and cuddly blanket. I have even made each of my kids their own blanket with fleece. It was a great project because my kids could help when we had to tie the ends. Our house doesn’t evenly heat so some of the bedrooms get cold. The fleece blanket is all they need to keep toasty warm.

The magic of fleece will keep you warm, but apparently it also stops arguments in my house! The kids get their way and don’t have to wear a coat or itchy fabric and I am happy because they are not freezing or naked outside.
